From Monday 8th April 2019 we will have an Advanced Nurse Practitioner working with us.  These nurses are experienced in dealing with coughs, colds, sore throat, musculoskeletal problems and many more conditions.  When you are looking for an appointment the reception staff will ask for some details and this will allow us to make sure you are seen by the correct person.  This is a necessary part of triaging appointments so please co-operate with the staff.

Home Visits

Doctor's bagHome visits will be carried out for those who are house bound or terminally ill. Children are not routinely seen at home and you should bring them to the surgery.

Please request home visits before 10:30am. After this time only emergencies will be visited. If you feel your request is urgent please make this clear to the receptionist so she can pass this to the doctor.

A doctor may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or the doctor may need some additional information to assess the urgency of your call, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance if appropriate.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
