From Monday 8th April 2019 we will have an Advanced Nurse Practitioner working with us.  These nurses are experienced in dealing with coughs, colds, sore throat, musculoskeletal problems and many more conditions.  When you are looking for an appointment the reception staff will ask for some details and this will allow us to make sure you are seen by the correct person.  This is a necessary part of triaging appointments so please co-operate with the staff.

Right Service, Right Person

We aim to help patients find the right service for their health needs.

There are a lot of situations when a face to face appointment with the Doctor is not required as your problem can be dealt with more appropriately using new Community Services.

When you contact the surgery, the reception staff may ask you some questions in order to direct you quickly to the service most appropriate to your problem.

Eye Problems

An Optometrist is the best person to assess urgent eye problems, check for eye disorders and treat eye conditions.  They have the professional training and necessary equipment to assess most eye problems.

Most local Optometrists are part of the Lanarkshire Eye health Network Scheme (LENS).  As part of LENS they can offer an appointment and assessment service for any concerns you may have with your eyes including: red eye, sore eye, deterioration of eyesight or any other disturbance of eyesight.
